I was sitting here, trying to figure out how to write up a year in review, whenasuka totally posted a survey that replaces originality with laziness, which I am All For.

1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
I can't think of much noteworthy! Salvia, I guess.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make resolutions, they're silly!
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nooope.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Nooope.
5. What countries did you visit?
Sadly, I remained isolated in America this year. 2009 will shortly change this, however >:D
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Experience in world travel? A girlfriend? A late-model vehicle?
7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
I don't remember dates! I did enjoy a lot of things this year, though. I visited friends near and far many times, I went skiing, I went to the beach, I went on rollercoasters, etc etc. Good times were had.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Managing the transition from DTL to SA within the bank? Moved to WFH?
I didn't achieve much career-wise this year, besides staying afloat another year. And how do you define personal achievements? I did fencing for a while, had fun with that, but I try not to be goal-oriented with my personal life. More..experience oriented (:
9. What was your biggest failure?
Hm! Failed romance? Or maybe getting laid off from IBM.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I did not!
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Rock Band? Or perhaps my camera :D
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
What the hell
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and/or depressed?
What the hell
14. Where did most of your money go?
Aside from bills? Foodstuffs, gadgets, and videogames.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Early in the year? Colorado. Middle of the year? A girl. End of the year? Germany!
16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
No clue. I know 'Low' will probably always remind me of Ken, hahaha. Things like that make less of an impression lately, it seems. I know songs that remind me distinctly of other periods of my life though.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? I dunno. Probably about the same.
b) thinner or fatter? Same! I am one of those never lose, never gain folks. Half-unfortunately.
c) richer or poorer? Poorer! IBM paid me way too much.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Traveled. Met people.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Moping? Working.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I am at my folks
21. Did you fall in love in 2008?
Yeeup.
22. How many one-night stands?
None.
23. What was your favorite TV program?
Cancelled the TV early in the year! But I do watch TV-on-DVD sometimes, and my favorite of the year was 'The Wire', I think.
If you count anime, Death Note. I watched that pretty much straight through.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No, I don't bother hating people.
25. What was the best book you read?
Ooh, a tough one. Hmmmm. Guess it's 'Consider Phlebas' by Iain M Banks
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Apparat? Pepe Deluxe? Dubstep?
27. What did you want and get?
I bought myself a camera :P
28. What did you want and not get?
I wanted an electronic piano, a film scanner, a new car lol
29. What was your favorite film of this year?
OK, after doing my 'what movies did I see this year?' research, I found that I saw far fewer films than usual this year (less than forty) and they were of far lesser quality than last year. Now, this doesn't mean there weren't good films, just that I probably wasn't lucky enough to find them. Still, the top films of the year are: the dark knight, and burn after reading.
also good were Pineapple Express, Blindness, Quantum of Solace.

I...don't even remember. My birthday post reveals no details! Probably not much, though.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Hard to say.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Um. Tac pants and tshirts?
33. What kept you sane?
Music, friends, as always.
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Zooey Deschanel, as always? Hahaha.
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
Prop 8. Bailout(s). Presidency. Countless others, but those were the biggies.
36. Who did you miss?
Everyone. Andrew, Talia, Lis, Amber, Maryam, Christine, even Alex a bit :P
37. Who was the best new person you met?
I don't think I met anyone new who I've kept up with! I mean, I'm sure I've been introduced or bumped into people, but they left as quickly as they came, so nothing lasting. My most recent friends (Halley and Mike) were still met over a year ago, I think.
38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008:
